Things don't look great
These are the projects Shadowlands Games has launched and the status of those projects.
Raven RPG
Launched on Kickstarter February 21, 2023
Fulfilled July 9, 2024 (according to updates)
Kingsmouth RPG
Launched on Kickstarter October 2, 2023
Project still hasn’t fulfilled - had projected delivery date of September 2024
Last update the campaign is eerily familiar to one posted above:
—-
An important reason for the delay in this process is that some items require specific raw materials for the quality we desire. Their availability is taking a little longer given the current international situation. This is especially difficult for the hardcover, the Deluxe cover, and the slipcase.
We're still working on production and hope to share more details and concrete dates soon.

Howl of the Chimeras RPG
Launched on Kickstarter October 15, 2024
Project hasn’t fulfilled - had projected delivery date of December 2024
Last update on manufacturing blames the printer for the issues:
—
Due to the summer months, the conversations with the printer and their responses have been a bit delayed these weeks. We understand this, but we have continued to insist.
We hope to be able to give you the definitive dates for the end of production and the start of shipping soon.

Scions of the Dark Goddess
Launched on Backerkit with a delivery date of December 2024
Hasn't been fulfilled.
Trickerion RPG
Launched on Backerkit with a delivery date of September 2025
Hasn’t fulfilled but it doesn’t look like it will make it in time
Terraforming Mars RPG
Launched on Backerkit with a delivery date in Summer 2026
Hasn't been fulfilled yet, which is understandable since it is currently being written.
Call of the Sea: The Everhart Expedition RPG
Launched on Backerkit with a delivery date in April 2026
Hasn't been fulfilled yet, which is understandable since it is currently being written.
Winter King RPG
Launched on Gamefound February 2024
Hasn’t fulfilled with a delivery date of April 2025
Blasphemous RPG has been announced for launch on Gamefound in the future. When they launch this, presumably there will be seven campaigns that they are currently working on and have not completely fulfilled.
To be fair, some of these campaigns have had some, if not all, of the digital files delivered to their backers.
I do not think that Shadowlands Games is in a situation where they are launching projects and have no intention of doing the work to complete them.
I do think that they are perilously close to being over their heads in issues with the publication of their titles. Issues that I think are almost completely due to the lack of funds to print and deliver their products.
What I would like, and I think I speak for more than just myself, is a very detailed description of what we can expect going forward from Shadowlands Games.
Do you have sample dice made? If so, can we see them?
Do you have finished layout files that you have sent to your printer? If so, could you share some of those?
Do you actually have the funds set aside to pay for the print run for this campaign?
Have you used the funds from this campaign for the purpose of paying for the production (writers, artists, manufacturing) of your other campaigns?
Do you envision having to go back to your backers in the US to pay for the tariffs that will be incurred when you import your products?
What is a realistic turn around time for when you are actually going to start having the manufacturer begin making actual products?
I would much rather get an update with as many facts as possible, even if it was bad news, than to be left in the dark and wonder what is going on with the campaign.
I sincerely hope Shadowlands Games does this soon.
Ive asked for real updates for months and all they provide is inane platitudes and "thank you for your patience" replies.
At this point I would advice everyone to not back any further of their crowdfunding campaigns, or at least if they do be aware just how much behind they are on their current obligations,so it might be money lost.
I have absolutely no evidence to back up my thoughts other than common sense, but doing the writing and layout is relatively cheap when compared to production and shipping.
Maybe the expenditure to actually create and ship the physical items is the issue. Regardless, they have at least two projects to fulfill before this one, and it doesn't look like those are getting completed anytime soon.
I've backed 3 of the unfulfilled projects and stopped when the red flags started waving and I thought, 'hang on, shouldn't you be completing the ones you have underway before launching more'.

Yo participé en The idol of Cthulhu que acumula 8 años...
